Hi Foreverbookers,  Did you have a good Christmas? I know I did!  I’ve just finished “Court Of Twilight” by Mareth Griffith, which was okay. It’s quite a simple story that takes a slight twist on fairy lore.  3 Stars!  NetGalley granted me a review e-arc of “Court Of Twilight”, so it’s thanks to them that I was able to read it. I actually only requested it because of the dazzling cover, so I’m glad I enjoyed it. Court Of Twilight released on 17th October 2017, so it’s available to purchase now... “Court Of Twilight” is set in Ireland, and we follow a character called Ivy who finds things that don’t add up with her best friend. Hi ForeverBookers,  I’ve just finished “All The Wrong Chords” by Christine Hurley Deriso, and it was okay! It certainly isn’t on my top reads list of the year but I didn’t completely hate it.  3 Stars! “All The Wrong Chords” is written in first person. I liked this because we could see what our main character, Scarlett was thinking throughout. She was sometimes a little annoying but all characters have their flaws as well as good points. Scarlett is staying with her Grandpa. I loved reading about their relationship. Her grandpa reminded me of my Grandad a little, too.  The title of the book, “All The Wrong Chords”, is a take on the music scene, which the book is very much about, but it’s also about life in general, I think. It’s about watching young people grow up, making wrong decisions and seeing how they resolve their issues. Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with this arc. Hi ForeverBookers,  I’ve just finished reading “A Murder For The Books” by Victoria Gilbert, which NetGalley gave me access to review, so thanks to them! It was an okay read, but it won’t make my favourites of 2017 list.  “A Murder For The Books” is the first in a series of mystery novels, about a young woman, Amy, living with her Aunt. She’s also a librarian in the local library. There’s also a romance story, which I really liked for Amy throughout “A Murder For The Books”. She sees a dead body in one of the back rooms at the library, one day and the real story of who murdered them starts from there...   “A Murder For The Books” is told in first person, which I thought worked well. We could see what Amy was feeling directly about each event. In a Murder mystery novel this is what I wanted, to see the effect events were taking on the main character. Hi ForeverBookers, I’ve just finished a great finale to a duology. Always Red is the sequel, and finale to Chasing Red, which I reviewed earlier on this year. I can say that Always Red was just as good as Chasing Red. This duology is a character driven story, I’d say, as most contemporaries are.  Always Red concludes the story of Veronica and Caleb. From Chasing Red, we know that Veronica hasn’t had much of a life as she lost her mom when she was really young. Caleb saved her, in so many words, from a life on the streets when they were both in a club one night in book 1. Do they continue to better their lives in Always Red? You’ll have to read it to find out...  5 Stars... Chaos Unleashed is the second book in the Chaos Rises series and it definitely held up to its predecessor in how good it was!   Chaos Unleashed continues from where Chaos Rises finishes. Gem, our half human, half ice demon and her brother, Del, our half human, half chaos demon from book 1 continue their adventure in a dystopian LA.  NOTE: this novel shouldn’t be read by anyone below age 17, I don’t think as there’s a sexual scene. It’s not heavily described but you know that it happens. Also there’s war and bloodshed in Chaos Unleashed.  Gem is alone. Her brother is with some evil demons by force or possibly by choice . Hi ForeverBookers,  I've just finished The Bride Who Got Lucky by Janna MacGregor. It's the second book in the Cavansham Heiresses series. Each book in this series tells the story of a different relationship but they all link, so Claire and Alex, the couple from book 1 are featured in this book. Just as the main characters for the next novel are also introduced, here.    I requested The Bride Who Got Lucky on NetGalley and I was lucky enough to get it so thank you to NetGalley for giving me a chance to read it.  The Bride Who Got Lucky is a novel set around the regency era that tells the story of at first Nick who hasn't had a great childhood. His mother died in childbirth and his father disowns him in front of his peers at the beginning of the book. Nick doesn't know how to feel love because of this. Hi ForeverBookers,  I've just finished my first Christmas themed book of 2017, and it was good. The Inn At Blue Hollow Falls is a contemporary novella. It's supposed to be read after the first novel in the Blue Hollow Falls series. I didn't read the first book, because The Inn At Blue Hollow Falls was a NetGalley e-arc and I didn't want to run out of time before I read it. It worked fine though, as we focus on a different couple. I believe the main character, Stevie is bought up in the first book as a side character.  The book is basically a romance surrounding Stevie and the inn keeper, Noah. It was a pleasant read. The story is pretty simple as it just follows those two characters getting to know each other. Do they fall in love though? You'll have to read to find out. I would say this is an ADULT read, due to some more erotic scenes.  What did I like about The Inn At Blue Hollow Falls?  I liked the banter that Stevie and Noah had. They easily got to know...

Hi ForeverBookers,  I've just finished an awesome book! I got This Mortal Coil from NetGalley so thanks to them for letting me read it. It was soooo good!!  5 Stars!!! This Mortal Coil is a dystopian story that tells the story of Catarina who, along with friends has to find out who she is among the strife of a deadly plague that's killing off the worlds population through hydra clouds.  The story is told from first person POV, which I loved! I thought the author did a great job at tackling different emotions that our main character, Catarina went through.  There are too many good parts to quote. I'm not going to do that as this review would be so long if I did but I've summarised what happens below...SPOILERS!!!   We see Catarina start as a shy girl with not much experience of the outside world become a warrior. Hi ForeverBookers,   Last night I finished Never Apart and I ending up enjoying it. When I started reading it, I found it quite boring. It was at about 60% that I started thinking it was good. I was quite lost at the beginning but Grace, our lead protagonist is lost so I think we're meant to feel as she does.  I'm not going to quote any of the story because this review would go on for too long, if I did, I feel.  Spoilers below... We meet Grace when she's on the run from someone. Although, the person is revealed in the book I don't want to as it's a pretty major spoiler, I think. Grace is special. She can hop into different timelines. She doesn't like being able to do this, though. Heavenly Desire (Elemental Sisters #3) by J. L. Sheppard Review...13th October 2017. Hi ForeverBookers,  I've just finished Heavenly Desire by J. L. Sheppard, a great book about love and sacrifice, among other things. Thank you to NetGalley for granting me access to read it! 4 Stars! NOTE: Heavenly Desire is a new adult/adult novel with a few sex scenes towards the end. I'd say 17+ year olds could read it but everyone is different and can handle different things. Also there's an abusive thread running through part of this novel. Although, it never happens in real time in the book, there are flashbacks and recounts of it.   Heavenly Desire is the third book in the Elemental Sisters series. I'd say you should read books 1 and 2 first, though. I didn't because I didn't have time to (NetGalley arcs are only available for a little while).
