Dawn Of Onyx (Sacred Stones #1) by Kate Golden Review

Hey ForeverBookers, How are you all? I hope you’re well! I’ve just finished “A Dawn Of Onyx” by Kate Golden and I LOVED it! “A Dawn Of Onyx” follows our female main character, Arwen as she goes on an adventure to discover just who she is. What I loved most about “A Dawn Of Onyx” I think, was that the plot was focused around the romance more than anything else. I also loved how the story was told from first person perspective, as this is my preferred way to read. I like getting inside the FMC’s head.  5 Stars! “A Dawn Of Onyx” starts with Arwen and her family in a rough situation. They’re a poor family that don’t really have much. The Lands of the Stones, where this novel is set is at war. I loved the setting and how there were different kingdoms based on different stones. Each kingdom has its own characteristics. The Garnet Kingdom, where Arwen and family live at the beginning of “A Dawn Of Onyx” are at war with the Onyx kingdom. Most of the novel takes place in...

Kiss Of The Basilisk (#1 Split and Swallow) by Lindsay Straube Review

Hey ForeverBookers,   I’ve just finished my favourite book of the year, thus far.  “Kiss Of The Basilisk”  by Lindsay Straube   is an   erotic masterpiece in my eyes! It brings together everything I love in a book…forbidden romance, well written erotic scenes, it was lengthy and the characters had depth. The only thing that slightly annoyed me was the FMC’s name, Tem. I liked her full name Temperance a lot more. “Kiss Of The Basilisk”  starts with our main character, Tem following a tradition of sorts. She’s to go to be trained to have sex with the prince by a basilisk. She only goes and falls in love with the basilisk she chooses! He loves her too. What does this mean for her relationship with the prince? You’ll have to read for yourself! There were soooooo many twists and turns in  “Kiss Of The Basilisk”  that I didn’t see coming so wasn’t sure where we would end up with our characters!  I kind of wished there was a pregnancy for Tem...

Spellfire by Agatha Wilson

Hey ForeverBookers, I’ve just finished  “Spellfire”  by Agatha Willow and I really enjoyed it!  “Spellfire”  tells the story of a young siren called Bryn who’s an author at the beginning of the novel. She went to a witch school, however because she didn’t get on with her mother and hated being alone as she was growing up other than being at Grimoire Academy. She gets contacted by the academy before the novel starts. At the beginning of  “Spellfire,”  Brynn has just arrived at Grimoire Academy to sort through her late, beloved teacher, Professor Herringbone’s book collection. What she doesn’t realise is that she will find a LOT more than she bargained for at the school; friendships, camaraderie and perhaps even love?  Always Fully Booked Reading Challenge 2024 - A Sapphic Book - Spellfire’s main story is the love between Brynn and Amelia.    Spoilers Below: “She could do this. She was an adult now. It had been five years. Sure, she’d su...

People Watching by Hannah Bonam Young Review

Hi ForeverBookers,   How are you all? I hope you’re well!  I’ve got a cold but I’ve just finished  “People Watching”  by Hannah Bonam Young and I bloody well LOVED it!  5 Stars!  “People Watching”  tells the story of Milo, a guy that’s moving to help his brother and sister run their family brewery. He pulls up in front of the town’s shop before he gets to his family’s house where there are many children! At  Welch’s Gas and Grocer,  he meets Mr Welch and his daughter, Prue. He falls for Prue straight away! Like literally straight away. I really enjoyed this story. Yes, it’s instalove to its maximum, I’d say. But I love those sort of stories. The rest of the plot is about Milo and Prue learning to accept one another and Milo helping Prue accept life how it is, through love and sex. Prue’s mother suffers from Alzheimer’s disease. This plays a huge part in the plot. There’s also mention of cancer, although not as big.  I read  “...
