Hi ForeverBookers, Wow! I did not expect Dracula to be as good as it was... Spoilers below... We start off seeing Jonathan in Transylvania looking for the Count's castle. People tell him to not go and to turn back but he feels he must go and see him to do business. He is taken to the castle by an old fellow with his horses. When he gets to the castle, Jonathan is welcomed in by the Count and is given a room. The Count wants to buy a house in England and they do that business. Then Jonathan is frightened by ghosts that haunt the castle. These ghosts turn out to be real women. Dracula is revealed to be evil in these scenes. He captures Jonathan and holds him prisoner. Back in England we follow Mina, Jonathan's wife and Lucy, Mina's best friend. For about 100 pages here, I was quite bored as nothing really happened. Hi ForeverBookers! Wow - I've just finished this series with the final book Timeless and it was REALLY good! 5 Stars! It's set a few years after Heartless, book 4 finishes. Alexia and Conall's daughter, Prudence is a toddler now. Both Alexia and Conall, along with Prudence and Ivy, and her family, as well as Madame Lefoux go to Egypt to see Matakana, an ancient vampire and to see what the God Breaker Plague is doing to the supernaturals in Egypt. The majority of the book is set in Egypt with these characters, however we still get a few scenes with the likes of Lyall, Biffy, two of Lord Maccon's pack as well as Lord Akeldama and Lady Kingair in England Spoilers below... The reason that Alexia and Conall go to Egypt is to try and uncover the truth behind their friend and pack member's death. When they get there, they're taken to see Matakana. Hi ForeverBookers, I got The Bear And The Nightingale for review from NetGalley but I only gave it 1.5 stars (2 on Goodreads). While I enjoyed certain elements of The Bear And The Nightingale, I found a lot of it to be quite confusing. The only thing that kept me reading was Vasya and her untoward behaviour to others as well as her relationships towards the end. I just skipped over the religious stuff as that didn't interest me in the slightest. The folkloric elements, while complex were again a little confusing. This is a book to be read around Halloween/Winter I think as some of the elements are rather creepy. Because of these creepy elements I'd say this is an ADULT novel as well. It's also set in a cold Russia.  I don't want to write spoilers at all in this review because I didn't understand all of the elements as I've said above and so there's every chance that I could get it wrong. Hi ForeverBookers,  I've just finished reading Heartless and it was fantastic. 5 Stars! In Heartless, we follow Alexia Maccon again going through her pregnancy as well as trying to work out just who is threatening the queen. We also learn more of the relationships that the characters have or in some cases had to each other as well. Alexia's sister also makes some appearances too.  Spoilers below... I apologise if I miss some bits out here, but I suffered with a migraine for 2 days where I couldn't read... Anyway, Lady Alexia Maccon and Lord Conall Maccon are back together after the events of Blameless. Alexia is looking forward to the birth of her baby when she hears the news that she'll have to give her up for adoption to her best friend Lord Akeldama because of attacks that have been going on recently in London. This is of course once the baby is born. This I can see bringing up desperation for Alexia and Conall, wanting to see their child. Th...

Hey ForeverBookers, I've just finished Blameless and it was a little bit of a disappointment. 3 stars!  Spoilers below for Blameless and the previous books as well. I have a non spoiler review of Soulless (book 1) on here as well 😀).  Blameless starts as Lady Maccon has to move out of Woolsey, her husband's castle for being pregnant. The fact that she is pregnant is revealed at the end of Changeless (book 2). Lord Maccon doesn't believe that the baby is his because werewolves can't mate. However, it gets revealed later in the book why this has happened.  Alexia goes to Italy with Madame Lefoux and Floote, her manservant and friend to escape the rumours that she's been unfaithful to her husband, which of course isn't the case. In Italy, they try to find the answers about Alexia's condition and why she is now the way she is. They come across a scientist who is annoying and a religious sect, which is creepy.
