Hey ForeverBookers,
How are you all? Sorry that I haven’t posted in over a month ๐ (apart from earlier today), I’ve been trying to read THUG, and failing, but I’ve now succeeded ๐. Also December is a busy month for me. Anyway, I’m back now. According to Goodreads, I’ve read 66 books in the past year, which was my reading goal!
If you’ve been here for a while, you all know my favourite series will forever be the All Souls series by Deborah Harkness so I’m not including that on this list.
My top 10 favourites from 2018:
1) The Stonewylde series by Kit Berry (books 1-4) - This was a reread from when I was a young teenager. I LOVED rereading these books!!! I’m super excited to get to the last book, Shaman Of Stonewylde (book 5) in January. I’m not sure I ever finished it as a teenager...

2) ACOWAR and ACOFAS by Sarah J Maas - I’m including them both as one because they’re by the same author. I’m sooooooooo excited to FINALLY read TOG in 2019. TOG is on my January TBR!

3) Scythe by Neil Shusterman - I loved this take on a utopian world. It was filled with surprises and I was kept guessing throughout! I’m looking forward to reading Thunderhead in 2019!

4) This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab - I found this to be a really quick read. It kept me engrossed. I’m looking forward to reading Our Dark Duet in 2019. It’s on my January TBR too, so I’ll hopefully get to it!

5) In The Shadow Of 10,000 Hills by Jennifer Haupt - I found this to be really interesting. I knew nothing of the Rwandan genocide before reading this. http://foreverbooks18.blogspot.com/2018/02/in-shadow-of-10000-hills-by-jennifer.html?m=1 - In The Shadow Of 10,000 Hills review.
6) Home by Amanda Berriman - This was a great story told from the perspective of a little girl. It’s partly set in a preschool and I’ve done placements in preschools so i thought it was well researched based on my experiences. NOTE: Child sexual assault is brought up in Home.
7) The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot - Although this is a younger YA novel, I really enjoyed reading it. I have the second book on my January TBR.

8) One Summer In Italy by Sue Moorcroft - This is a cute, fluffy contemporary romance. I read it in the summer, which was perfect.

9) Starlight Nights by Stacey Kade - This was the first book I read of 2018. I can remember really liking it.

10) Tales From The Shadowhunter Academy by Cassandra Clare - Anyone who knows me, knows that I’m not a fan of The Mortal Instruments or The Infernal Devices, but I really ended up enjoying this. I think Clare is better at writing short stories than full length novels. I have yet to read TDA though, so we’ll see about that sometime in 2019...
