  Hey ForeverBookers,   How are you all? I hope you’re well!  I’ve just finished reading “House Of Flame and Shadow” by Sarah J Maas in anticipation for “A Court of Splintered Harmony,” coming out in October, and I really enjoyed it! I got through it in under a week, which judging by its size is a shock for me! It normally takes me ages to get through a book of that size! I think because I was reading the book and the ebook on my phone it made it easier to fly through.  4.5 Stars! The main plot of “House Of Flame and Shadow” is Bryce, Hunt and their team trying to find, hunt and kill the Asteri, an angel race. To do this she has help from characters from the ACOTAR series (Nesta and Azriel) in obtaining the mask Nesta used in ACOSF to defeat the bad guys. This mask is significant to the defeat of the Asteri too. How?   Hey ForeverBookers, I’ve just finished  “The Memory Of Babel”  by Christelle Dabos, and I’m surprised to say that I really enjoyed it. I’d heard that this was the most romance forward of the four  “Mirror Visitor” books, and while I’m not sure that’s necessarily the case I really enjoyed the pacing of this book. It didn’t feel as if we were stuck on a part of the story for too long anywhere.   “The Memory Of Babel”  is set around two and a half years after the conclusion of  “The Missing of Clairdelune.”  Our protagonist, Ophelia lost her betrothed, Thorn due to her powers as an Anima not being strong enough. Can she find him and in so doing help bring the Other, the formidable, unknowable enemy to the surface? I’ll let you read for yourself but I enjoyed this 3rd book a LOT more than #2, which seemed to just plod along slowly. With   “The Memory Of Babel”  I was always eager to turn the next page!  “The Memory Of Babel”...

Hey ForeverBookers, I’ve just finished Howl’s Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones but it wasn’t for me, unfortunately. I didn’t like how whimsical it was. I much prefer plots that I can understand. There’s a chance I might reread it but not for a while. 2 stars! The characters were really the only things I liked in this book. 

  How are you all today? I hope you’re well! I’ve just finished reading Caraval and I bloody well LOVED it!!!  5 Stars! It centres around two sisters, Scarlett and Donnatella or Tella. They have an abusive father, so they want to escape to a different place. When Tella hears of Caraval, a traveling circus like show she’s eager to go to try to escape. Scarlett is the more pragmatic of the sisters. She wants to escape but thinks it’s impossible. She’s also engaged to someone she’s never met, someone her father selected. She wants to escape this too. They both venture to Caraval, the place of dreams, where they experience dreams and desires amongst the most desirable. Can they win the competition aspect and escape their father? I’ll let you read for yourself but I HIGHLY enjoyed the plot, to the point of finishing the book within 24 hours!
