A Discovery of Witches (All Souls series #1) by Deborah Harkness Review

Hi ForeverBookers, How are all of you doing? I hope you’re good! I’m sorry that I haven’t posted in what feels like MONTHS! I’ve literally been reading ONE book for ALL that time, which is why you haven’t heard from me. It’s my favourite book in the world, “A Discovery Of Witches” by Deborah Harkness so I don’t mind, but I understand how this is a book blog, where you want to read reviews and I haven’t been giving you them, so sorry! I just wanted to make sure I did my favourite book justice, I guess. I own this series in French and Italian digitally too, as well as the series in the UK and US hardcovers. That's how much I LOVE it! There’s LGBTQ+ rep in A Discovery of Witches too! Diana’s aunts who are mentioned throughout are lesbian. We meet them in the last third of the novel! 5 FREAKING STARS!!!!!!!!!! I read “A Discovery of Witches” for two readathons I think:  Cardcaptor-a-thon  The Dream -    The Dream - A card Sakura has to believe beyond all ca...

Which book would your Animal Crossing character enjoy?

Hey guys,  Last night I came across this video by my favourite booktuber, https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=vume221h1uU, and I thought what a great idea, especially for this group! Total credit to Jade, or the original creator.  What book would your Animal Crossing islanders choose to read? I don’t necessarily like, or recommend all of the books below but I think my islanders on Animal Crossing would fit the reader mould for them. I only have 6 villagers so far, instead of the 9! When I get more, I’ll add them to the list. I’ve ordered my islanders by preference as well as noted the order they came to me. I think I have that right!  • Sandy, my 3rd islander -  A Discovery Of Witches by Deborah Harkness - Sandy loves books and so does Diana, the main character of ADOW. Sandy is very sweet so I think the romance would suck her in. She also comes across as quite studious, as she has a bookcase in her house, so I feel a long book like ADOW would work. • Peggy, my 5th islande...

From Venice With Love by Rosanna Ley ARC Review

Hi ForeverBookers,   I’m sorry that I haven’t posted in what feels like AGES! I’ve been reading my arc copy of “From Venice With Love” by Rosanna Ley, a contemporary novel, which sometimes went rather slowly. It was good, don’t get me wrong but it just didn’t have a real WOW factor for me, until the very end. Hence, why I could only read a certain number of pages a day. It was also very long for what it was. I don’t think it necessarily needed to be so long or that as much detail needed to be given to so many minor aspects! It’s written in an older style, I’d say with continuous, run-on sentences.  3 Stars! “From Venice With Love” is an adult novel, as there’s talk of drugs, sex and marriage problems. There aren’t any erotic scenes, as the one time a sexual encounter happens is fade to black but I wouldn’t say it’s appropriate for under 18‘s or certainly under 16’s to read. The story is set around a woman’s quest to find answers to a mystery she uncovers at her...
