The Royal Treatment - A Crown Jewels Novel, Book 1 by MJ Summers Review

Hi ForeverBookers,  I've just finished this AMAZING book that Netgalley gave me permission to read and review so thanks to them. It was published in May 2017 so is available now ... NOTE: The Royal Treatment is an ADULT novel as the main characters have sex a few times. The Royal Treatment, which is a dual perspective story, tells the story of Tessa Sharpe, 28 years old who is just a blogger at the start of the story. At first she lives on her own but often goes to see her parents and brothers, and their families.  We see Tessa make mistakes while she's blogging, which are funny. This gets her in trouble. She also runs a Royal blog, where she keeps people up to date on the monarchy of Avonia, the place where she lives. Tessa doesn't like the Royals. She thinks they're not doing their jobs right. She wants the Prime Minister of the country to take over rule. That is until Prince Arthur asks her to move in with him and his family to just see that they a...

Beneath A Burning Sky by Jenny Ashcroft Review.

Hi ForeverBookers,  I've just finished another great NetGalley arc called Beneath A Burning Sky by Jenny Ashcroft. It's now available to buy/download too! This is a part of my Summer Reads TBR. It coincides with the Summer Flings Reading Challenge that's happening on Facebook at the moment too! This book marks off the OTP/Star Crossed Lovers challenge.  NOTE: If you're sensitive to people disappearing this might not be the book for you! Beneath The Burning Skies in a historical, standalone novel that tells the stories of a few different characters, who live in Alexandria, Egypt. Two of these characters, Olivia and Clara are the main characters, I feel. The bulk of the story centres around what's going on with them. Both Olivia and Clara are English as are a few other characters too. All of the characters have a main part to play in the story, I feel which is nice.  4 Stars!  Spoilers below... What most of this book is is a who done it? pl...

Greatest Hits by Laura Barnett Review

Hi ForeverBookers, I've just finished a great contemporary, Greatest Hits by Laura Barnett! 3 Stars! - I got Greatest Hits to read through NetGalley so thanks to them for allowing me access. It was published on 15th June 2017 so is now available to buy.  NOTE: Greatest Hits has some content to do with drugs. It's set in the mid 1990's when I believe drugs were seen as cool, though. There are some deaths of characters that are emotional scenes as well.  Greatest Hits tells a biography, I suppose of this fictional singer named Cass Morgan. It tells the story from when she was born, in 1950 to present day. It describes all of the struggles that she has to cope with as well as the highs she experiences, throughout her career.  Spoilers below... Cass doesn't get on with her mother at all when she's young. Her mother called her Maria but she doesn't like this name. Her father calls her Cassandra, her second name so she goes by Cass. When her m...

Obsession by Amanda Robson Review

Hi ForeverBookers,  I've just finished Obsession and it was good. There are lots of twists and turns to keep you on the edge of your seat. I wasn't 100% sure what was going to happen throughout, which I liked.  Thank you to NetGalley for granting me permission to read Obsession. It was a great read. Obsession is definitely an ADULT read as there are sex scenes as well as disturbing content too.  We follow four people in Obsession. Rob, a doctor who's also very religious, Carly, a nurse and Rob's wife, Jenni another very religious person and Craig, Jenni's husband. We see from all of their perspectives throughout the novel. This was interesting but also a little jarring at times.  Mental health is brought up in Obsession. Carly, who doesn't know who she truly loves, suffers, Jenni also suffers to an extent. I thought the author did a good job writing about the mental health issues. Although the book wasn't solely focused on them, enough time ...

Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty Review

Hi ForeverBookers,  How are you all today? I've just finished a great contemporary book! 4 Stars! NOTE: There are scenes of abuse and bullying in Big Little Lies so if you're sensitive about either of those topics this book maybe isn't for you.  Big Little Lies tells several stories at once. There's the story about the trivia night that runs throughout, the story of who one of the main character's father is, the story of an abuse victim, a story of a teenage girl putting her virginity up for sail in the internet and the main story for most of the book, little children lying about who bullied another child. All these stories were handled well.  We see the characters, both major and minor be interviewed throughout because of the murder that happened on trivia night. I'll be honest in saying that at the beginning of the book I thought that another character had been killed so it was a surprise to read what actually had happened.  Spoilers belo...

Love Alabama (Alabama #2) by Susan Sands Review

Hi ForeverBookers,  I've just finished reading Love Alabama by Susan Sands and I did LOVE it. It's a cute contemporary that reminded me somewhat of Heart Of Dixie crossed with Gossip Girl.  I'd say this is okay for 17+ readers. There is sex but it's not described. The main characters just have it.  Love Alabama centres around Emma Laroux and Matthew Pope and their relationship. This is a 3rd person POV story, which I didn't dislike (for once). I thought the fact that it was 3rd person worked because you could see everyone on the same level. If it had been first person, we wouldn't have seen the parts where either Emma or Matthew were alone. Unless the chapters switched POV, which could have gotten messy.  I was approved to read Love Alabama through NetGalley so thanks to them for letting me read it!   Love Alabama is actually the second book in the Alabama series. I read it just by itself though, without the first book. This worked just as wel...

The Bad Luck Bride (The Cavansham Heiresses Book 1) by Janna MacGregor Review

Hey ForeverBookers,  I've just finished a great book called The Bad Luck Bride by Janna MacGregor. It was really cute but also made me think while I was reading.  Thank you to NetGalley for granting me the opportunity to read The Bad Luck Bride.  The Bad Luck Bride tells the story of Lady Claire Cavansham and Lord Alexander Hallworth, the Marquess of Pembrooke from when they meet each other and what happens after... NOTE: This is an ADULT read due to sexual encounters.  Spoilers below: This story is told from 3rd person perspective. We start by seeing Alexander, who's just lost his sister. He doesn't know who to blame but he's going to find who hurt her.  He meets Claire at a ball. Claire is the Bad Luck Bride from the title. She's been engaged/married many times but it's never turned out well. She's engaged to Lord Paul, a minor character at the beginning of the novel but he calls it off cause of the rumours surrounding her and her ...
