Wicked Queen (Royals World #2) by Geneva Lee Review

Hi ForeverBookers,  How are you all today? Hope you’re well! It’s very hot, where I am in the world!  I’ve just finished “ Wicked Queen”/“Claim Me,” Royals World book 2 by Geneva Lee and I really enjoyed it.  3.5 Stars! “Wicked Queen”/“Claim Me”  is book 2 in the Royals World trilogy, which is meant to be read after the Royals series by the same author, as it’s a progression of that series. We follow Clara, who got pregnant with the second royal baby in  “Wild King”/“Cross Me”  and is still pregnant in book 2 have to deal with the fallouts and drama of Royal life. Secrets get revealed and the tagline for the book is  “Every family has its secrets,”  which is true, certainly in this case. We have to watch the characters deal with these secrets, and it’s addictive. I think that’s the best word to describe this series.  “Wicked Queen”/“Claim Me,”  like  “Wild King”/“Cross Me”  (book 1 in the Royals World series)...

The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren Review

Hey ForeverBookers,  How are you all? I hope you’re all well! I’m sorry I’ve been absent for so long! I’ve been really busy over these past weeks. I’ve been reading sporadically because of this. It wasn’t  “The Unhoneymooners,”  the book I was reading by Christina Lauren’s fault, though! It was really good! I was also buddyreading it with a friend through Facebook. She enjoyed the novel just as much as I did, I think. We both thought it was a little slow in the middle for a few chapters but overall we enjoyed it very much. I’m surprised that I enjoyed it so much because I don’t normally like standalones. I would love a sequel to this, following the same characters.  4.5 Stars! As I said,  “The Unhoneymooners”  was really good. It was again quite episodic, like the last book I read but in a different way. It was like a soap opera, rather than a movie. I could see it as lots of episodes of a soap opera. The characters were written well, some...

SKY (Huntress #2) by Sarah Driver

Hi ForeverBookers,  How are you all? I hope you’re well!  I’ve just finished “Sky,” book 2 in the Huntress trilogy by Sarah Driver and oh my goodness, I loved it SOOOOOOOOO much! It’s a very episodic book. I could literally see everything playing out in my head, which I loved. 5 Stars!!!!! Spoilers below for “Sea,” book 1... “Sky” basically sets off from where “Sea,” book 1 finished. Mouse, our main character has lost her grandmother, and Captain of her ship because of an evil person, who’s trying to control the sea and the sky. Mouse needs to find answers and quickly if she’s to get things back the way they were. With her friends and little brother from “Sea,” and a few new alliances in “Sky,” can she change what’s been put in motion before it happens? You’ll need to read to find out... “Sky” is told from first person perspective. Mouse is the character’s who’s perspective we see from. It was interesting to see her grow from the young girl she was in...

Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices #1) by Cassandra Clare Review

Hey ForeverBookers,  How are you all doing? I hope you’re well.  I’ve just finished  “Clockwork Angel”  by Cassandra Clare and I VERY surprisingly enjoyed it. I’ve put ‘very’ in capitals because I’m surprised how much I enjoyed it. I always note this series as negative on my social medias because I hate the overall outcome in  “Clockwork Princess” , and I remember the second book,  “Clockwork Prince”  as being really boring but in this book everything happened as I’d have liked it to, this time reading it.  4 Stars! Readathons... * “ Cardcaptor-a-thon”  on Facebook (my own readathon) - https://www.facebook.com/cardcaptorathon/?modal=admin_todo_tour  - The Wood Card - A DNF book that has the potential to grow on you. I don’t DNF books but  “Clockwork Angel”  has definitely grown on me since the last time I read it. I’ve read it twice before and haven’t liked it either time that I recall, anyway -  #1 ...

Cardcaptor-a-thon announcement!

Hey ForeverBookers! How are you all today? I hope you’re well! This is a slightly different post. It’s for a readathon that I’ve set up called the Cardcaptor-a-thon! It explains it all on the page but it’s basically a readathon where for every book you read for it, you acquire one of the 52 Clow Cards. There are prompts to follow because what’s a good readathon without prompts??? Please just message me to ask if you don’t understand something on the page! This is my first time hosting a readathon. There’s not a set amount of time to it, either. If you want to read books that fit with a prompt but then want to read something that doesn’t, that’s cool. The Cardcaptor-a-thin page will always be up! I’ve made TBR/tick sheets for it as well! Please fill them out and keep everyone up to date with what you’re reading! Now let’s have some fun capturing those cards! https://m.facebook.com/cardcaptorathon/?tsid=0.5762606650164642&source=result

Throne Of Glass by Sarah J Maas Review

Hey ForeverBookers,  I’m sorry that I haven’t been here for ages but I’ve been planning something exciting...more information coming soon!  Anyway, I have still been reading, slowly. Throne Of Glass was really good. It was atmospheric while still being fun and it had some twists that I didn’t see coming, as well. I’d heard from others that I wouldn’t like Throne Of Glass based on my preferences. I LOVED Sarah J Maas’s other series, ACOTAR so I’m glad that I also really DID enjoy TOG, too!  4.5 Stars (5 Stars on Goodreads)!  The Readathons that I’ve read Throne Of Glass for are:  * Popsugar Reading Challenge 2019  - A book featuring and extinct or imaginary creature. There are imaginary creatures because it’s a fantasy book. I won’t spoil who or what they are, though! * Litwits - been meaning to read!  I’ve had Throne Of Glass on my TBR for absolutely YEARS! I can remember buying it when it was released so...yeah. Fo...

Unbound (Rebound Book 2) by Rosemary Rey Review

Hi ForeverBookers,  I’ve just finished my reread of “Unbound” by Rosemary Rey, book 2 in the Rebound trilogy and I liked it! 3 Stars! The readathons I read “Unbound” for were:  * The OWLS Magical Readathon - This readathon finished at the end of April but I think that Professor Flitwick would be fine with me taking an extra day to finish my charms exam, as I had bad headaches last month. I was reading “Unbound” for Charms because it’s an adult romance, which for me counts as an adult work. That means, I’ve passed my Writer/Journalism OWLS and I’ve got my Charms OWL too. How have your OWLS gone, if you took part? Let me know below.  * The Spring-a-thon - I read “Unbound” for the challenge of a book with friendship/family because Perla friends are really there for her in the book to help her through her struggles. Popsugar Reading Challenge 2019 - A book you think should be turned into a movie - I love romance in everything I consume so I'd lov...
