My Top TEN Reads of 2021!!!

Hi ForeverBookers, Hope you all had a great Christmas! I cannot believe it’s time to wrap up the year already! It feels like 2021 has just started to me...anyway, here are my top 10 reads of 2021. Do you agree/disagree with my favourites? Let me know below... 1) “Heir Of Fire” by Sarah J Maas - “Heir Of Fire” was my favourite book of the year, no question! It had everything I love in a good book, from forbidden romances, to great characters, to a well developed plot. This is fantasy so all from the author’s mind. It’s not based on our world or customs at all. My favourite characters I’ve read all year featured in this novel too. 2) “The Bear And The Nightingale by Katherine Arden - When I first read this, just after it’s release in 2017, I really wasn’t a fan! However on my reread I really enjoyed it! It had a lot more that I liked than I remembered the first time I read it.  3) “ Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” by JK Rowling - 2020 and 2021 were the years of Harry Potter for

Inuyasha Volume 7 by Rumiko Takahashi manga Review

I loved this volume of Inuyasha! It had action, emotion, comedy and a great story. I just love the characters. They’re all flawed but that makes them more realistic, which is nice to see in a fantasy book. I love the art style of Inuyasha.   I read Inuyasha, Volume 7 for a few of Readathons. They were: Reading Rivalry - Animation - manga is the art form that anime comes from so it fits perfectly!     Disney Hopalong - My Epcot park entrance ticket - Read a Book that’s been translated - Inuyasha is a manga series so was originally Japanese! My favourite part was when Inuyasha rushed to Kagome’s side to save her from Tsubaki, an evil witch. I love this part in the anime too. Kagura still really annoys me, but she’s meant to. Koga and Inuyasha, while still not liking each other, learn to tolerate each other too.  We also see more relationship development between Sango and Miroku, side characters to Kagome and Inuyasha. Sesshomaru, Rin and Jaken make a small appearance too.

The Afterlife of Holly Chase by Cynthia Hand Review

Hi ForeverBookers,  How are you all doing today? I hope your doing good! I’ve just finished “The Afterlife of Holly Chase,” which I really enjoyed. Christmas is almost here and for ONCE I’ve read a Christmassy book right before Christmas Day! YAY! 4 Stars! I read “The Afterlife of Holly Chase” for a couple of readathons! They were: Reading Rivalry - In December RR is doing types of films as books as their theme. Remake - Because  "The Afterlife of Holly Chase"  is like a remake of the book and movie, in this case  "A Christmas Carol" ! It has many of the same plot points!  The Orilium Magical Readathon - My race is Iltirian, the prompt for which is to read a book with a red cover.  “The Afterlife of Holly Chase” has a red cover under the dust jacket so it counts!   Disney Magical Hopathon - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3F55Y7bfU8&t=61s - Mickey’s Friendship Fare - Read a book that centres around friendship - Although there are other elements to

Five On A Treasure Island (#1 The Famous Five) by Enid Blyton Review

Hi ForeverBookers, How are you all? I hope you’re well! I’ve just finished Five On A Treasure Island by Enid Blyton and I really enjoyed it! It’s definitely a middle-grade book but an entertaining, adventurous middle-grade book.  4 Stars! I read Five On A Treasure Island for a few different readathons. Those being:  Reading Rivalry - Book Featuring Family - The main group of children are all related, as brothers/a sister and a cousin.  The Cardcaptor-A-Thon - The Rain - Read a book with rain on the cover - There isn’t rain on the cover of Five On A Treasure Island but there is a storm that happens about a quarter way into the book! That’s a major plot point of the story! Believe-a-thon - Read a book from my childhood - I ADORED the TV show of The Famous Five as a child and I wanted to try the books! I’m very glad I did! This was my last read for the last Believathon too, hosted by Gav at How To Train Your Gavin on YouTube. Disney Magical Hopathon -  https://www.youtube.c
