Shadows at Stonewylde (Stonewylde Book 4) by Kit Berry Review

Hey Readers,  I’ve just finished “Shadows At Stonewylde”, and I loved it!!! It was a reread from when I was around 16 years old I think (so a while ago!) and I enjoyed it much more than I did when I first read it. I think that might be because most of the characters are adults in this story, like I am now. I could understand our lead character, Leveret better as well, because I’d gone through being a teenager, whereas before when I read it I was still a teenager. 5 Stars!!! I read “Shadows At Stonewylde” for a few readathons again. This time they are: Reading Rivalry - A book with a prophecy in it. There are actually a few prophecies in the story, one of which I mention below in the spoilers section.  Popsugar 2018 challenge - A book about an antihero or antiheroine. The main character, Leveret is what i call a antiheroine.  August Book Bingo - Unaware of powers trope - Leveret isn’t aware of her ability to predict the future.  My OWLS exams - divination (

The Language Of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo Review

Hey ForeverBookers,  “ The Language Of Thorns”  is made up of several novellas. They’re fairytales set in different parts of the  Grishaverse . You can read them before or after “ The Grisha Trilogy” . I read it after, although not straight after. It’s been at least a couple of years for me between reading the original trilogy and the novellas. I read this for a few readathon again 🙂. They are:  The Weekendathon - a Facebook readathon that my friend is hosting.  Reading Rivalry - for the author highlight category. We could either read something from Leigh Bardugo, as I did, Marissa Meyer or Agatha Christie. August Book Bingo - a book by a hyped author because Leigh Bardugo is hyped!  Spoilers Below “Ayama And The Thorn Wood” -  Zemeni I enjoyed this novella. 3.5 Stars! It tells the story of two families, a rich family with two sons, one of which will become the King and the other was born as an ugly wolf figure. The other family is poor and has

Scythe (The Arc Of The Scythe Book 1) by Neil Shusterman Review

Hey ForeverBookers,  I’ve just finished “Scythe” by Neil Shusterman. I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed it because it’s written by a male author. If you know me then you know that I generally don’t reach for books written by men. It had an exciting plot as well as great characters who were always surprising me.  5 Stars!!!!!!!!!!!! Citra and Rowan are our two main characters. They become apprentice Scythes at the beginning of “Scythe” . Michael Faraday (he’s known as Faraday in the novel), their mentor is a mysterious character, who I don’t think we’re ever meant to be sure of until the end. The first part of the plot surrounds these three characters as they get to know each other and Citra and Rowan learn what they’re going to have to do to actually become scythes.  A scythe is a weapon. Scythes in this world are the people who control the population. “Scythe” is set in the future. “2042. It’s a year that every schoolchild knows.” This is significant becaus
