The House With Chicken Legs by Sophie Anderson Review

Hi ForeverBookers,   How are you all? Hope you’re good! I’ve just finished reading “The House With Chicken Legs” by Sophie Anderson. It was an enchanting, but quite a sad read, while still being uplifting, if that makes sense. It’s middle grade so fine for all audiences to consume. As an adult, I understood what our main character Marinka, who’s twelve, was going through, as she experiences a wide range of emotions within the story, some of which I experienced growing up and still do experience now. I read “The House With Chicken Legs” for a couple of readathons,  The Cardcaptor-a-thon - The Change - A book that’s had a cover change - now, this might be slightly stretching the rules but it’s my game and it DOES have different covers in different countries. It just hasn’t had a cover change, per se... Reading Rivalry - A book with a white house on the cover - it was because of something to do with US politics -  Participants in Reading Rivalry were allowed to count this if

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (#5 Harry Potter) Review

Hi ForeverBookers,  How are you all doing today? I hope you’re doing well! I’ve just finished “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” which I ABSOLUTELY LOVED!!! It took me a while to read it because it’s a very long book and I was making notes about most pages for this review. I won’t include all my thoughts here but when I start something I like to do it to the best of my ability, even if I don’t end up using most of the notes I make.  I read “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” for a couple of readathons: The Cardcaptor-a-thon - The Freeze - Sakura and friends go on a trip to the ice rink...Read a book that involves a trip - Harry has to go to the Ministry of Magic on multiple occasions in The Order of the Phoenix! Reading Rivalry on Facebook - For this I didn’t finish it within the month of October so I included it for pages read!  5 Stars! Harry is going into his fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in this fifth book in the series. He has lots

A Discovery of Witches (All Souls series #1) by Deborah Harkness Review

Hi ForeverBookers, How are all of you doing? I hope you’re good! I’m sorry that I haven’t posted in what feels like MONTHS! I’ve literally been reading ONE book for ALL that time, which is why you haven’t heard from me. It’s my favourite book in the world, “A Discovery Of Witches” by Deborah Harkness so I don’t mind, but I understand how this is a book blog, where you want to read reviews and I haven’t been giving you them, so sorry! I just wanted to make sure I did my favourite book justice, I guess. I own this series in French and Italian digitally too, as well as the series in the UK and US hardcovers. That's how much I LOVE it! There’s LGBTQ+ rep in A Discovery of Witches too! Diana’s aunts who are mentioned throughout are lesbian. We meet them in the last third of the novel! 5 FREAKING STARS!!!!!!!!!! I read “A Discovery of Witches” for two readathons I think:  Cardcaptor-a-thon  The Dream -    The Dream - A card Sakura has to believe beyond all capabilities is a card
