Retrograde (Retrograde #1) by Emilee Carter Review

Hey ForeverBookers, How are you today? I hope you’re great! I’ve just finished  “Retrograde”  by Emilee Carter, which is a sports, F1 romance and I enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a sports romance that hardly focuses on the sport then I’d say this is for you. While I knew it was a sports romance, it was only where our 2 main characters met. That’s basically the only sport bit. We don’t see any on action on the grid. I liked this, as I’m not a sports or especially, an F1 fan.  We start on the grid following Lucie, our FMC and Brett, our MMC as they try to literally navigate their feelings around each other so they can still both work on the grid, as a driver for him and part of the team for her. Brett is the celebrity racer, adored by fans, and Lucie works on the grid as the assistant and a part of Revolution Racing’s team. Can they work together or do feelings of jealousy/love/devotion get in the way? I’ll let you read for yourself, but it’s a good story with a f...

Book Of Shadow s by Cait Tiernan (Sweep #1) Review

Hi ForeverBookers, How are you all? I hope you’re good! I’ve just finished reading Book of Shadows by Cate Tiernan and I really enjoyed it. It was a reread but I read it over 10 years ago for the first time so I’d forgotten a lot of the plot. All that I remembered was the main character Morgan discovers some secrets about herself. What are those secrets? You can read for yourself! 5 Stars! Morgan is our female protagonist. It’s told from her perspective. She’s is a high school student who on her first day of her new year at school meets a new boy. She, of course, becomes obsessed with him. Cal is this new boy. He exudes mystery and intrigue for Morgan and her friends. When he reveals that he’s part of the religion of Wicca, things take a turn. For good or bad? I’ll again let you read for yourself but it’s a very compelling story, at least for me. They’re quite short books too. Even though there’s 15 or so in the series. I got through my reread of Book of Shadows in 3 days!  I read ...

The Thursday Murder Club (The Thursday Murder Club #1) by Richard Osman Review

Hi ForeverBookers, How are you all today? I hope you’re good!  I’ve just finished “The Thursday Murder Club” by Richard Osman and I enjoyed it! It’s not my usual genre, which you’ll know if you’ve been here long enough is fantasy/romance but I knew that before going in so that helped. I think I always knew that it wouldn’t be a 5 star read so the fact that I gave it four stars is good.  4 Stars! “The Thursday Murder Club” really starts when a character called Tony Curran is killed in the story. The club comprises of Elizabeth, a very turned on woman. She’s very hot on the press and quick to make a judgement. Ibrahim, a slightly slower to the point man. Ron, another slower man, and Joyce a very funny, quirky character who I loved reading about and from. We get Joyce’s POV, which I loved reading, as she was hilarious. She’s the only POV we get in “The Thursday Murder Club.” I don’t know if in the next novels we’ll get a different POV! I’m excited to find out! This novel is a lau...

Barbarian Mine (Ice Planet Barbarians #4) by Ruby Dixon Review

Hey ForeverBookers,   How are you? I hope you’re good! I’ve just finished Barbarian Mine by Ruby Dixon, which is the fourth Ice Planet Barbarians book and I LOVED it! It has everything I like in a romance book!  We follow Harlow, who in book 3 of the Ice Planet Barbarians series went missing after an accident. She believes that two of the aliens and one of her female comrades died in the accident. We know they didn’t. Anyway, she finds another male alien on his own, who’s not a part of the sa-khui tribe. This is Rukh, and the story goes from there…   Readathons Spoilers Below…  “I’ve been ripped from everything I knew at home, but my family there was dead, and, I have had the company of other humans.           He’s had no one for so long.           My chest resonates, and his picks up the song.” This is Harlow reflecting back on her life on earth. There, she had no family because they died, but Rukh also has no...

Conquer Me (Royals Saga #2) by Geneva Lee Review

Hey ForeverBookers,  How are you all? I hope you’re well!          I’ve just finished  “Conquer Me”  by Geneva Lee and I bloody well LOVED it!         “Conquer Me”  is the second book in the Royals series by Geneva Lee and it continues Clara and Alexander’s love story. Is it doomed before it’s even begun? I’ll let you read for yourself! That’s what this novel really focuses on, their differences and how and more importantly I think, if they can overcome those differences.         Alexander is heir to the British throne, and Clara is an American girl he met by chance at her graduation. This obviously throws problems in their way when they start a sexual liaison! An American commoner with a British royal! That just isn’t done…apart from in terms of this erotic literature, obviously! Can they work their way through these issues or do they consume them before their relationship even gets started? ...
