Hey ForeverBookers, I’ve just finished reading “Practically Magic,” a YA autumnal book, by Jen Calonita which I liked.   “Practically Magic” is an easy autumnal book to just sink into. I finished it really quickly - in the space of 3 days! We follow our FMC Katherine or Kat Hadley who’s family are witches. Witches are an unknown race in the town of Mystic Hollow, where the book takes place. The chapter headings were funny anecdotes about witches that I found entertaining. Kat’s mom and dad are to perform rituals on Halloween to keep the town of Mystic Hollow in balance. They do this every Halloween, unknowingly to the general public. Kat wants to prove that she can do these rituals too! Can she? Or do boys and other things, like her sister Harriet/Harry get in her way? I’ll let you read for yourself but it was very quick and entertaining.  3 Stars! I hope you’re well!  I’ve just finished reading “The Right Move,” by Liz Tomforde, which I BLOODY ADORED!!!  5 Stars! “The Right Move” is book 2 in “The Windy City series” by Liz Tomforde and it’s filled with trauma but hope as well. It follows Indy first, who is Stevie’s, the lead girl from book 1, “Mile High’s,” best friend. She needs somewhere else to live at the beginning of  “The Right Move” because at the end of “Mile High” her piece of **** ex cheated on her. She found him in bed with someone else. When Stevie suggests her brother’s apartment as her new residence, Indy isn’t sure at first. Enter Ryan, our MMC in “The Right Move” and things go from there…Indy wants children but was unsuccessful with her ex. Can Ryan be all that she needs?   Hi ForeverBookers,   How are you all today? I hope you’re good! Ive just finished reading “The Hunting Party” by Lucy Foley, which I’m very surprised to say, I enjoyed. I never read thrillers and I don’t think I’ll read another one for a while, but I did somewhat enjoy this. Thrillers are quick and easy to fly through at least. 3 Stars! “The Hunting Party” is about a group of friends who go to a isolated, hunting lodge in a part of Scotland that’s remote. It’s set during a freezing winter holiday, before and after the new year of 2019. There’s a tense atmosphere because most of the ‘friends’ aren’t really friends any longer. The plot is quite simple, really. What I enjoyed out of it was the arguing and drama between the characters, which I knew there would be in a twisty thriller.  “The Hunting Party” is told from lots of different perspectives. Hi ForeverBookers,  I’ve just finished reading “The Worst Witch Strikes Again” by Jill Murphy, which I really liked! It’s a middle grade but I enjoyed it. It was a nice reminder of why I liked reading as a child. I read these books for the first time when I was actually a child.  I read this for Reading Rivalry. The prompt was A Book Featuring A Teacher. Miss Hardbroom, Miss Cackle, Miss Bat and Miss Drill all feature in this second book in “The Worst Witch series.” In “The Worst Witch Strikes Again,” we join Mildred again as she navigates life at Cackles Academy. These books are very quick and easy to read but they’re fun and lighthearted. The artwork is fun too.  Spoilers below... Mildred is tasked with looking after the new girl, Enid Nightshade. What do these two get up to together? Well, they cause trouble. I’ll leave it at that as it’s so short but it’s a good/engaging read.

Hi ForeverBookers,  I’ve just finished reading “I See London, I See France,” which I really enjoyed. It’s a fun, backpacking novel through Europe with our protagonists, Sydney and Leela and the adventures they have.  3 Stars I read “I See London, I See France,” for a couple readathons. They were: Reading Rivalry - A library book - I got my copy of “I See London, I See France” from the library.  Always Fully Booked Reading Challenge - A Country or City in the title - I See London, I See France” has both a country and a city in the title so it doubly works!  Sydney is a 19 year old American girl is the main protagonist of “I See London, I See France,” who’s mom suffers with extreme anxiety. She doesn’t go out without Sydney anywhere. Neither does she talk to others.   Hey ForeverBookers,   How are you all today? I hope you’re good!  I’ve just finished reading “Birthday Girl” by Penelope Douglas and I LOVED it! If you know my tastes in books, you’ll know that I love a good forbidden, explicit romance and that’s exactly what this was. The explicitness wasn’t that major but towards the end there were a few more sex scenes than I was expecting! I welcomed them, though!  “Birthday Girl” is told from both our FMC, Jordan and our MMC, Pike’s POVs. I liked seeing the action from both points of view as it made the story feel more realistic to me.  “Birthday Girl” starts with Jordan going to the movies for her 17th birthday on her own because her waste of space boyfriend, Cole can’t be bothered to go with her. When she’s there she talks to sits also the same row as another man. This man, Pike, only turns out to be Cole’s father!
