Hey ForeverBookers,   How are you today? I hope you’re good! I’ve just finished  “Pole Position”  by Rebecca J Caffery and I LOVED it!!! It’s an LGBTQ F1 romance and it had me in knots with emotion. Nothing necessarily sad happened apart from one thing that I’ll get to but it was just extremely emotional for me. I really felt for our MMC’s.  “Pole Position”  tells the story of Kian Walker and Harper James as they navigate an uneasy work relationship as F1 drivers after Kian’s partner of a few years, Elijah is out due to injury. Kian is almost 10 years older than Harper too. Kian doesn’t want a new partner as he liked working with Elijah. When sparks begin to fly between Kian and Harper can they keep their relationship quiet and for how long? This is the main story of Pole Position but there’s also Kian’s mother in the background who’s dying of dementia, and his sister, Elise who looks after her children too.  I read “Pole Position” for one readathon which ...

Hey ForeverBookers, How are you today? I hope you’re well!  I’ve just finished “Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda” by Becky Albertalli and I really enjoyed it! It’s a coming out story for our MMC, Simon. He’s just a normal everyday, American teenager that talks to an unknown teenager, Blue, on his school’s online server. Nowadays, I probably wouldn’t advise talking to someone online but when this was published, in 2015, it was fiiiiine. When Simon wants to meet Blue, what happens? I’ll let you read for yourself but the book focuses on Simon’s coming out story, rather than what happens after he’s come out. I read  “Simon Vs The Homo Sapiens Agenda”  for a few readathons. Hey ForeverBookers, How are you? I’ve just gotten back home from a the BLUE, 25th Anniversary Concert so I’m great! (This review won’t be as on point as some of my others because I’ve had a day in between finishing the book and writing this review, so not all of my thoughts are as crisp as they normally are). Yesterday, I finished The Man Who Died Twice, The Thursday Murder Club #2 by Richard Osman, which I really enjoyed.  4 Stars! “The Man Who Died Twice”  follows are same amateur detective sleuths as they try to work out who some diamonds they find belong to. I loved reading this! It had comedy as well as a good plot that kept me very much entertained. I’d say it was more intriguing than the first book, which was just setting up our characters!  I read The Man Who Died Twice for a few readathons.   Swallows and Amazons review! Hey ForeverBookers,  How are you doing today? I hope you’re well! I’ve just finished reading Swallows and Amazons by Arthur Ransome and I enjoyed it. It was slower than most books I read but I can remember watching the 1974 movie and enjoying that a lot as a child so I thought I’d give the book a go.  Swallows and Amazons is a classic British novel that tells the story of a family of four children that go to an island that they can see from their farmhouse home on the Peak of Darien. They really want to go and camp on the island, so they do. They discover things about themselves, like the youngest, Roger being able to swim and Titty, the third youngest being a good lookout, as well as things about the island too.   Hey ForeverBookers,   How are you all today? I hope you’re good! I’ve just finished  “Crave Me ,” which was a reread but from 2016! I loved it even more than I did then, though!  In  “Crave Me ,” we follow Belle, Clara’s best friend from the first trilogy of the Royals series. Belle is a quiet character, I feel. That is until she meets our MMC, Smith Price! Belle goes for a job interview to be lawyer, Smith’s assistant. What starts as a simple interview quickly evolves into a love story for the ages!  I read  “Crave Me”  and for a few readathons. They were: Reading Rivalry - True Friend - although I haven’t noted this in my spoiler section below, I love the female friendship between Queen Clara and Belle.
