Inuyasha series review!

 Hey ForeverBookers,

How are you all? Hope you’re well!

I’ve just finished reading the “Inuyasha” manga series. I don’t normally review manga on here but I thought as it was a favourite series that I would just go over the important points about WHY I loved it so much!

We follow an upper teenage girl called Kagome who lives in Japan. Her house has an old well. This well starts off her adventure as it takes her back to the Feudal Era in Japan. Here, she meets an arrogant dog demon named Inuyasha, (Inuyasha actually translates to dog demon too). From there, these two characters go on several adventures with their friends, Sango, Miroku, and Shippo, a cute fox demon. Inuyasha’s moody half brother, Sesshomaru makes a few appearances too, throughout the story, with his companions, Jaken, a very funny green creature, in the anime (the manga is of course black and white for the most part) and Rin, a young human companion, whom he finds friendship with. Inuyasha and Kagome’s main goal is to defeat Naraku, the evil character and destroy the Shikon jewel before the world as they know it can’t be put back to how it was. They have to go on several adventures and kill many demons before they get to Naraku! Can they? I’ll let you read for yourself, but I loved this manga sooooooooo much!

What I loved about “Inuyasha?”

  • The humour - I must have laughed out loud at least 5 times in each “Inuyasha” Vizbig volume!
  • The romance - you all know how I crave romance in my books. This was no exception! There are 3 romances, I’d say. Kagome and Inuyasha is the main one of course, then Sango and Miroku, and then Rin and Sesshomaru. Rin and Sesshomaru are barely a romantic couple but there’s something between them and if you’ve read/watched “Yashahime,” the sequel series to Inuyasha, you know who it’s about!
  • I loved how it was the same as the anime. I watched “Inuyasha” before I read it, much like I did with “Cardcaptor Sakura” (which I loved) and “Sailor Moon” (which I hated (the manga of)! I’m very pleased to say that I LOVED Inuyasha!

As I just said, I first watched the anime, much like I did for “Cardcaptor Sakura” YEARS ago. I loved it, so I knew I’d love the manga too. I’ve read the manga first in the case of “One Piece” but I tend to do both watching and reading of any anime/manga. For example I’m watching “Bleach” atm, and I’ll get to the manga after I finish that! With “One Piece” I’ll read, then I’ll watch it!

I’m going to read “Bleach” as my next manga project, I think!

Have any of you read “Inuyasha?” Or do any of you read manga in general? Any recs? Leave them in the comments!

I’m rereading “GLINT” by Raven Kennedy next so I can get to “GLEAM” later in the year! I’m excited as it’s my second favourite series EVER and it’ll be the first time I read “GLEAM” too!!! I’ve heard it’s the best for romance lovers!

American Royals (#1 American Royals) by Katharine McGee review

Hey ForeverBookers,   I’ve just finished American Royals by Katherine McGee and I LOVED it! If you love scandal and complicated love stories in a contemporary setting, then you will love it as well! Think a royal version of Gossip Girl and you have this book in a nutshell. American Royals follows six characters, all of the new adult age range that come together to create a story of intrigue and romance. There isn’t high action or really a plot outside of the romance which was fine with me as I really enjoy stories just focused on the romance. I appreciated how “American Royals” only focused on the six different characters. There weren’t loads of personalities to get to know, and they all followed the same pattern as they’re all from or have grown up around a certain standing in society. This made the characters easy to follow and understand. It is a character led story, without as I said, much plot.  What there is of a plot of American Royals is taken up with the ascension of ...

Heartless (Chestnut Springs #2) by Elsie Silver Review

Hey ForeverBookers,   I’m back! I’ve finished another book!  “ Heartless”   by Elsie Silver was AMAZING!!!! I absolutely LOVED it!!! This is book 2 in the “Chestnut Springs” series and it’s about Cade, Rhett’s brother from “Flawless,” #1, and his romance with Willa, Summer’s, from book 1’s best friend.  I read Heartless for a few readathons  Reading Rivalry - Multiple POV - “ Heartless” is told from both Willa and Cade’s perspectives. Always Fully Booked Reading Challenge - Book set in Canada - I   believe Chestnut Springs is set in the Rockies.   Always Fully Booked “On the Cover” Reading Challenge - A Musical Instrument - A guitar ! Willa, our FMC plays guitar.  Reading the Rainbow challenge - pastel - the background of the  “ Heartless”   cover is pastel blue!  “ Heartless”   had EVERYTHING I love, an FMC who’s stuck in life, a wild, yet sensitive MMC, funny moments, cute scenes, spicy scenes, heartfelt ...

Rebound (The Pentagon Book 1) by Rosemary Rey Review

Hey ForeverBookers,  How are you all doing today? I hope you’re well!  I’ve just finished rereading Rebound by Rosemary Rey and I loved it! From recollection I loved it the first time I read it as well, about 5 years ago.  5 Stars! I read this for a few readathons: For Reading Rivalry - A book I think should be turned into a movie - I’d love to see this play out on television, actually but a movie is close enough.  For Litwits - A love story - that’s the central plot of Rebound and the whole Pentagon trilogy.  Literary Love Affair - Soulmate Love - Perla and Matt are what I class as realistic soulmates. Popsugar Reading Challenge 2019 - A book by an author whose first and last names start with the same letter - Rosemary Rey.  Rebound is set in America and is about an almost 30 year old woman, Perla Mercurio and a doctor, Matthias Keene who have a very passionate affair...do they fall in love??? You’ll have to read to find ...
