Lore Olympus, Volume One by Rachel Smythe Review

I’ve just finished reading “Lore Olympus, Volume 1” and I really enjoyed it. It’s a graphic novel so an easy read. 


I read “Lore Olympus, Volume One” for:


Reading Rivalry - Read a book set in 2 different worlds. The mortal realm and the underworld both feature.


Always Fully Booked Reading Challenge, 2026 - A book hyped on social media - Lore Olympus had sooooooo much hype when it was released! 


This won’t be an in depth review but just to sum up the main points:


In “Lore Olympus, Volume 1” we follow Persephone, our FMC. She wants to go to the underworld, after having been raised in the mortal realm. Her mother, Demeter doesn’t want to let her go, but after Persephone promises to train as a virgin she allows her her freedom. While in the underworld, Persephone meets Hades, an enigmatic god figure at a party she goes to with her roommate, Artemis. She feels an instant attraction to him. I feel this series will be very predictable but entertaining none the less! I look forward to reading the other volumes soon!

Kiss Of The Basilisk (#1 Split and Swallow) by Lindsay Straube Review

  Hey ForeverBookers,   I’ve just finished my favourite book of the year, thus far.  “Kiss Of The Basilisk”  by Lindsay Straube   is an   erotic masterpiece in my eyes! It brings together everything I love in a book…forbidden romance, well written erotic scenes, it was lengthy and the characters had depth. The only thing that slightly annoyed me was the FMC’s name, Tem. I liked her full name Temperance a lot more. “Kiss Of The Basilisk”  starts with our main character, Tem following a tradition of sorts. She’s to go to be trained to have sex with the prince by a basilisk. She only goes and falls in love with the basilisk she chooses! He loves her too. What does this mean for her relationship with the prince? You’ll have to read for yourself! There were soooooo many twists and turns in  “Kiss Of The Basilisk”  that I didn’t see coming so wasn’t sure where we would end up with our characters!  I kind of wished there was a pregnancy for Tem...

Her Majesty’s Royal Coven (HMRC #1) by Juno Dawson Review

Hey ForeverBookers, How are you all? Hope you’re good! I’ve just finished  “Her Majesty’s Royal Coven”  by Juno Dawson and I surprisingly really enjoyed it! I didn’t think I’d hate it but I thought it would be 3 stars, but it turns out it’s a 4 star read for me, maybe even a 4.5! It had a lot of things I like but some parts were forgettable, like the names of the lesser used characters. The plot, though was solid! I’m a character over plot person, as you’d know through reading my other reviews, but the main/most prominent character from this book, Niamh will be my favourite, I’m sure! I think that’s why I’ve rated  “Her Majesty’s Royal Coven”  so highly! 4 Stars! “Her Majesty’s Royal Coven”  tells the story of a coven of witches that need to save or at least help a young male witch who’s more than he seems.
