Hey ForeverBookers,
How are you doing today! I hope you’re well!
I’ve just finished reading my most anticipated book of 2026, “A Court Of Splintered Harmony” and it did not disappoint!
We’re of course back with our favourite characters from the “ACOTAR” universe. I didn’t do a reread of the previous books before diving into this one, but I honestly didn’t need to. Everything that was brought up was discussed in a way that I either remembered or it was introduced again. For example, Koschei and why he’s hated! I will say though, that “Crescent City” needs to be read before this 6th instalment of “ACOTAR” for context.
The second chapter was perhaps the toughest to get through, as this was where the meeting of the High Lords and Ladies happened so this was where there was a real info dump. I appreciated that it was only here, though. The rest of the story was laid out in a simpler way. The romances, although not too present, all happened in A Court of Splintered Harmony. Rhys and Feyre of course, and Nesta and Cassian and perhaps a twist for Azriel. It will be discussed below in the spoiler section.
I loved how we still got first person POV from Feyre. She sees the world how I’d see it, I feel. I loved seeing her become a mother and watching her grow as a leader too!
I read “A Court Of Splintered Harmony” for two readathons. They were:
Reading Rivalry - A Book with a Rose Coloured Cover - ACOSH has a pink and yellow cover, but mainly pink!
Always Fully Booked Challenge 2026 - ACOSH fills my LAST prompt as an anticipated release! This is the first year I’ve completed this challenge too so I’m super proud of myself!
“A Court Of Splintered Harmony” has a few adult love scenes as well as an attack from a mystical being.
Spoilers Below…
“I need to know, he pressed. Do Vallahan, Montasere, or Rask already possess a Made object?
If their enemies, hell bent on invading the human lands to the south and amassing a unified army to do so, got their hands on a Made weapon, if Koschei was somehow involved in—
They have stopped speaking of the matter, the shadow supplied. But they now speak of different objects: an ancient book of etched gold . . . and a six-sided box.
They are treacherous, though, his shadow advised. They have come at the behest of the Deathless One, and yet they also seek a way to control him. Koschei, more valuable now that he stirs, malcontent. The box contains his death, woven and bound within his sacred life-thread, and if they find it, they will get all they desire out of him.”
Azriel gets chapters dedicated to his spying in “A Court Of Splintered Harmony.” These are significant because the gang is trying to find something that will put an end to Koschei. Can they find it? What is it? I’ll let you determine that for yourself. The Made object, that’s stated above is the thing that will so say being an end to Koschei. Nesta made a sword, Ataraxia in “A Court of Silver Flames”…is she the key here too?
“You are here to convince us that allying with you would be better than with these warmongers in the north.”
This is the main point of the meeting that Feyre and Rhys have called, to get everyone there, including the Duke of Bernion, to ally with them and not the Northern Territory. They need a united Prythian to ensure this. This doesn’t happen, however, at least not here, in this book. Will it happen in the “A Court of Fractured Melody,” when it releases in January next year? I don’t know but I’m excited to find out!
There’s an interference at Nyx’s naming day. What happens? The only thing I’ll say is Bryaxis, the ancient creature kept under the library of the House of Wind in the Night Court has something to say! What? I’ll let you read for yourself!
Lastly, I’ll quickly sum up the romances, my favourite parts of any book! Of course, Feyre and Rhys are the strong, power couple of “A Court Of Splintered Harmony.” They know what needs doing and when it needs doing. They’re still both getting used to being parents to little Nyx. We often get phrases about how Feyre needs to feed her son soon or she’ll leak milk through her clothes. This made it very real to me. Nesta and Cassian are at odds at the beginning, until over halfway through the novel. Why? This is why you need to have read “Crescent City” first, I’ll say. Lastly, Elain and Azriel. I LOVE the idea of these two being a couple! Do they finish the brother/sister set of pairs? I’ll let you read for yourself but I highly enjoyed their banter, and the situation these two found themselves in I’ll say that!
The next book looks set for a lot of romance and political manoeuvring, two things when done well, I love in books!
